We have just screened at the DC Meets Delhi Film Festival in Washigton DC and are about to screen at the Independent South Asian Film Festival in Seattle.
Sheila has been doing a few press and radio interviews and we are now receving serious interest from India.

Hello!
Arranging Love has been selected to screen at the Brisbane International Film Festival, our first Australian capital city! We are amongst a programme of highly regarded films that include Hal Hartley's latest masterpiece, Fay Grim.
So if you are from Brisbane and are yet to see the film check out the BIFF programme which will be released on 11 July at www.biff.com.au
And in more news, Arranging Love will be having its first run this month at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney.
It will be screening in the Short Film Series as part of their special Cinema India exhibition.
Screening times are:
Daily at 10am and 12 noon during July; and
Daily at 10am and 12 noon from 20 August until the end of September.
All in all, plenty of opportunities to see the film and then rate it for the Hisense Inside Film Awards.

Hello to old friends and new,
Phew! Sheila and I have now returned to Australia having attended the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles.
It was such a fantastic festival and amazing to see how big and important attending a festival in Hollywood can make you feel. We even had our first interview for tv, photo below.
The NSWFTO graciously chipped in for our travel to the festival which proved to be a very good investment. Sheila and I made some fabulous contacts resulting in 8 film festival invitations and some interest from a Canadian distributor.
Since my last email we have been accepted into the ReelHeART International Film Festival in Toronto, our publicity still has even made the festival's promotional postcard! The film will be screening there on 21 June at 7pm, for those who might be in Toronto town.
Until next time,
Janelle Landers - Producer

Our best news so far!
Arranging Love has been officially invited to screen at the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles.
That's "HOLLYWOOD" people. Hooray!
We are finally taking the film to the world, marking this as our international premiere.
Now celebrating its 5th anniversary, IFFLA is devoted to nurturing a greater appreciation of South Asian Indian culture by showcasing a selection of films from or about India by Indian and international filmmakers as well as films that reflect diverse perspectives of the Indian Diaspora. The Festival is headquartered at the ArcLight Hollywood complex and last year Deepa Mehta attended with her opening night gala film "Water".
We are incredibly excited about this and once again thank you for your ongoing support.
Janelle

Hello!
Arranging Love has been officially selected for the Byron Bay Film Festival. Hooray!
Appropriately it looks as though it will be screening on St Valentine's Day, 14 February.
Sheila, the director will most likely attend the festival and have herself a tropical holiday at the same time, I'm so jealous!
Unfortunately I won't be able to make it over east for this one as I'm right in the middle of production on a feature length documentary over here in Perth called 'Something in the Water'. It's a film that uses this summer's festival season in WA and across Australia to explore why Perth produces so many good bands featuring the likes of The John Butler Trio, Eskimo Joe, Little Birdy, The Sleepy Jackson and Bob Evans. It has been lots of AAA fun so far.
I hope to have more good news soon.

Stay well.

Hi again everyone.
I'm pleased to announce that Sheila and I survived our world premiere. Hooray!
We both headed to lovely Gympie (in Queensland) recently to attend the Heart of Gold International Film Festival where Arranging Love screened on Sunday November 29th to an audience well over 100. Everyone seemed to enjoy the film and we got some really positive feedback form the people we spoke to afterwards.
Even though we didn't come home with the coveted Best Documentary award we were nominated for, we nonetheless feel very privileged to have premiered at such a fantastic festival and to have been received with such warmth and affection. The festival screened a wonderful collection of uplifting and inspiring films and it seemed the whole community was behind Toni Powell and her team in their inaugural event. It really was a great way to have our film premiered to the world at large.
Since my last news email we have been approached by SBS, an Educational Distributor and an online cinema, each wanting to acquire the film. It's great that our film is starting to generate such interest and I hope to write with more good news soon.
Until then...

We’re bursting with this news!
We’re pleased to announce that Arranging Love has been accepted into its first festival - The Heart of Gold International Film Festival in Queensland. Apparently they were so impressed they gave us advance notice of being accepted which was well before the entry closing date.
We were also short listed for the prestigious Birds Eye View Film Festival in London but just missed out due to a reduction in their screening hours.
We have also heard from ARTE (a European Culture Channel on German/French television) who are interested in broadcasting the film for a special theme night.
Until we know more, thanks again for your continued support.

Hello friends!
Just thought I would drop you all a line to let you know how our documentary "Arranging Love" is going.
Although we just missed out on being in the Sydney Film Festival we were Highly Commended in the Dendy Awards.
As you can see from their press release we were up against some stiff competition.
We are currently entering it into national and international festivals and will keep you posted as to any success we have.
Thanks for your assistance, warm wishes and support.
